In the Font Info/OpenType/name Table/Version field, if the Use Default Value box is checked, the resulting Name Table Version is propagated from the Fint Infor/General/Identification Version Major and Version Minor fields. The font's Name Table Version syntax is as expected at Version X.XXX.

When overriding the Use Default Value and entering a Version number X.XXX, the generated font's Name Table Version in the just "X.XXX" and not "Version X.XXX."

Could be AFDKO is setting this value while compiling the font, have to check...

You can opt for fontMake as your compiler in the preferences: see the Preference Editor:
