Guides in Robofont not working

Hi,
my ability to draw guides (previously just pulling from the ruler guides on the top and left) has disappeared.

I am using an older version of RF (1.84). Wondering if I should just reinstall?
I am unable to find the installer file on the site (presuming it's been taken down).

it’s more likely that you have just disabled guides display – please check the display options menu at the bottom left of the Glyph Editor:
