Can’t select or move nodes

I keep running into an error in which I can’t select or move nodes, and then I have to restart RF to get past it.

The traceback I’m getting when trying to use the Edit Tool is this:

Lots of these tracebacks are fixed in the beta already, which is almost shippable!

This seems to happen when I switch glyphs, probably especially when I am in the Scaling Edit tool/mode.
