Placed raster image disappearing

I'm on RF 3.1 and MacOS Sierra.

My placed raster images in the background layer of glyphs often disappear. I can close RF and reopen without issues, but, if I restart my computer and reopen RF all of my raster images have disappeared. It's as if the path is missing. Sometimes I get an error that says something like, 'cannot find image in glyph __'

Is there a "proper" way to import or place glyphs so they will not go missing? Or a way to cache / embed the files?

I guess this issue is resolved in the upcoming release RF3.2
